Let's try the downtown thing...

Some notes around the downtown...

1. Please stop putting the Women's Today Expo and Food City Feedbag (or whatever it's called) on at the same time. If you wanted to stress-test downtown traffic, the test is called UT game day, and we fail every time. This was no different, as my wife and mom-in-law had to walk a while after circling for nearly an hour to find a spot. Both of them are active and don't mind walking, but they were really there for the Women's Expo. I would have loved to have taken the kids to the Food thing, but not with all that craziness!

2. I finally, finally made it to the "new" Market Square on a Sunday night... Wow. One side is up, the other is down. Anyone with tons of cash contact me immediately to develop the other side of the square. We'll make millions.

3. World Grotto rocks. This does NOT feel like Knoxville. It's more like a big-city, laid-back vibe. I expect this kind of place in Austin or San Francisco. But I'm so happy the Grotto is here. Sundays are very chilled out, with just a good movie and some drinks with friends, but a great time nonetheless.

Oh, and a farewell to Carie Thompson, who is moving to Nashville. Knoxville is sad to lose her.

Yeah - strange how 1 side of Market Square is "nice" and other is abandoned... :-)
