New Mexico brewery goes thermonuclear on free market system in Knoxville

A trademark infringement lawsuit has been brought against Marble City Brewery here in Knoxville, TN. Apparently the geniuses (which is how I spell Greedy Turds) in Sante Fe think that Marble beer will be confused with Marble City beer. Of course, why they don't go ahead and sue Marble Beers in the UK is beyond me -- maybe they haven't heard of it.

Unfortunately this means Marble City Brewery can't get a business loan. So it's very likely that the mere FILING of this suit will be enough to kill a great business here in Knoxville, TN.

Look at the picture above. Do you think you'd be confused by the two? Do you think a New Mexico pissant brewery has any right shutting down a fledgling business here?

Personally I think we should tax all New Mexico-based breweries at 800%. It's only fair.
